Over the past few years, Daqing Oilfield has actively built a learning and exchange platform. More than 50 people have been selected to participate in various training courses such as the training courses for experts (backbone) of group companies and the national and provincial seminars for young talents in Heilongjiang Province; more than 10 people have been selected to study in famous universities and research institutions at home and abroad; nearly 20 trainers have participated in international academic conferences.

According to the actual situation in Daqing Oilfield, the personnel department and the technology development department of the oilfield organs have made concerted efforts to create conditions and provide support and assistance to trainers in undertaking and participating in major scientific research and production projects.
In the past few years, the trainers have participated in more than 20 major scientific research projects at oilfield level and above as project leaders and backbones, further training in the projects and further improving the level of scientific and technological innovation. 2020, Daqing oilfield science and technology department selected 10 young scientific and technological talents under 40 years old to undertake key technical research topics and gave them strong support. Up to now, a total of 37 young scientific and technological talents are engaged in shale oil exploitation, exploration of Sichuan and Chongqing blocks, geothermal resources research and other related work, contributing their youthful wisdom and strength in new fields, new blocks, new technologies, new energy and new business.
The solid and effective means of pressure, platform, ladder, promotion of exchange and mechanism have enabled the trainers to improve their basic research and theoretical innovation, and to reach a higher level of scientific research ability and technology, and they have also made outstanding contributions to key technological innovation and transformation of scientific research results.
Wu Xiaolin, a petroleum scientist incubatee, has led his team to systematically carry out research on new theories, products and technologies of chemical drive, leading the development of chemical drive technology in the world. In recent years, new and efficient technologies such as interfacial site resistance active agent and adaptive oil drive system are being developed, which will enable the overall oilfield recovery degree to move toward 70%. The team has led the construction of the world’s largest chemical drive R&D and application base, which has supported the annual oil production of chemical drive in Daqing oilfield to exceed 10 million tons of oil for 19 consecutive years.
He has made outstanding contributions to the research on key technologies of unconventional oil and gas seismic exploration and resource exploration and evaluation in the northern part of Songliao Basin. He has innovated and developed technical systems such as dessert mapping of thin interlayer tight oil in river phase, dessert prediction of thin tight gas in faulted lake basin, and dessert parameter prediction of pure shale oil in terrestrial phase, which have contributed to the breakthrough of tight oil and gas storage and production in the northern part of Songliao Basin and Gulong shale oil exploration.
