On September 14, the crude oil value chain optimization system independently developed by China National Petroleum Institute (CNPI) was put into smooth operation for two weeks, which marked the first integrated optimization model and data analysis platform covering the complete business chain of crude oil “production, refining, transportation, storage and trade” of a comprehensive oil company in China.

The Crude Oil Value Chain Optimization System is an important tool for the Group’s crude oil industry chain production and operation plan making and optimization decision making. It contains modules of market forecast, plan optimization, benefit measurement, plan management, completion analysis, etc. It can make optimization calculation with the goal of maximizing overall benefit under the complex constraints of each link of the industry chain, and provide the basis for the Group to make scientific and reasonable production and operation plans.

The online use of this system has promoted the transformation of the production and operation planning and analysis of the group company from quantitative balance to quantitative and efficient comprehensive optimization, improved the scientific and automatic level of the company’s production and operation planning, enhanced the company’s ability to respond quickly to market changes, promoted the synergy of upstream and downstream business and created efficiency, and provided an important technical guarantee for the production and operation decision and efficient operation of the company’s crude oil industry chain.
